With dozens of stories to listen to and our own developing styles of play starting from the very beginning may not be the best way to experience Bored Ghost. Our stories are contained in one or two episodes so you don’t have to be linear in your listening.
We recommend the following ways to listen to Bored Ghost:
1) Read the episode synopsis to get a sense of the genre and mood of a game and delve into the ones that catch your eye.
2) Go through the primer episodes. Find the games that interest you and take a listen to the stories we generate from those games. Start with the oldest tales in that game if you want to hear out first go, which will often be a more by-the-book play through.
3) Take a listen to our recommended episodes and continue exploring from there:
Fiasco is the first story game we played and the one we play the most. It is versatile and robust.

The Final Girl is a game that is strange and fun. The game was out of print when we asked the designer for a copy to play on the show and it has been a favorite to go back to when we want mayhem.

If you want to step in from a more traditional roleplaying background Tales from the Loop is one of the few games that has a game master and dice mechanics.

One of our favorite games right out the gate. Published in 2018 this game is an example of the how design is being pushed and lovingly explored in the story game space.
